May 24th class

Hey guys. So for the next class you'll just be discussing final exam questions. For your convenience I'm going to repost them all below here. I'd like you to review all of them before class and think about how you'd answer them. Over the next week I'll update it if you have any input on any changes you'd like to make (just make a comment here or email me at: snahumko(at)wa(dot)amu(dot)edu(dot)com)

I'll also try to add any links for further reading you can do to be better prepared as I find them.

Nature/Biology
1. How are the elements interconnected in nature?
2. Are people aware of the need to take care of the environment and has this awareness changed over the years?
3. Discuss some of the ways in which it appears we may be headed for a mass extinction.
4. Why is biodiversity so important?
5. Should animals have rights?
6. Are the punishments for animal abuse sufficient in Poland?
7. Are GMOs a threat to biodiversity?
8. Is global warming a real threat in your opinion? If so what are some of the signs, if not, why do so many people believe it is.

    We’ve just encountered a problem and there is a chance you could help 
    We found out that we should be provided or simply have – a list of vocab we are responsible for during the written part of the speaking exam (sic!). Could you please prepare such one for us – or maybe you would prefer us to create such list of course on the basis of the articles we’ve read – and you would just approve it? Please let us know as we are somewhat lost for now…
    I enclose a list of BrE group vocab – just in case you wanted to check it

  2. Hi everyone. Yeah, I was just informed about the vocabulary list as well. The exam will be based on the vocabulary from the articles we did in class so I am in the process of working on it. Additionally, the vocabulary from the Communication topic in the Issues textbook will be included as well. Hopefully I'll have the word list ready for you before the weekend. See you Saturday,
